You are viewing an Older Victorian style Dress Pin / Brooch. This Baroque style pin has an long clip with teeth to hold onto the fabric. I think it is to be worn in the cleavage area of a dress. There is printing on the Clip itself and it spells something like ATIR---2. I just cannot read it, even with magnification. I could not find any other markings. The blue Cabochon is paste (18mm X 26mm) but near the edge of the Bezel setting, the stone is faceted all the way around. (see Pic) The chain is slightly bent in places but that may be fixable. The size of this Dress Pin is large: 2 &5/8" Wide X 4 & 1.8" Tall. I honestly don't know how old this pin is. I researched it for quite awhile. Parts of it look very old and parts of it I cannot tell. I think it's a reproduction..but still older. Please ask any questions you have about its appearance! It is in good used condition. Thanks for looking.
