You are viewing an Outstanding preowned Vintage USA Black Velvet Fascinator Hat by Mr John for Forecast. This pancake/platter style Hat was made for and sold at the May D & F Department Store in Denver, CO. The May-D & F store opened in 1957 and was bought by Macy's in 2005. Forecast also made Hats for the famed Kaufmanns stores which were also bought by Macy's in 2006. So this Hat is most likely a 1-off. The Hat itself is a Black Velvet 12" Round with a curly feather on the topside edge and a convex underside. Also on the underside, It has a tiny lip in the rear to cup your head along with 2 clips to afix the hat to your hair. The inside has a grosgrain ribbon encircling it and black lace inside the crown. NOTE> Unusual: on the label there is a Rhinestone on each side of the Mr John Name. Made in USA. Great photo prop or make a show! Condition: Beautiful, exquisite, RARE! It is in very nice shape for being so VINTAGE. It is not bent. Measurements: Diameter: 12"- Please view all photos so that you know exactly what you are buying.
