From the Trail Of Painted Ponies (TOPP) SUMMER of 2007 – The 10th Herd comes a ceramic pony created by Janee Hughes. In July of 2009, she Was Retired at number 3E/2418. Your pony will be a FIRST EDITION pony in the 900's -1300's. This 7" tall Ceramic Pony is beautiful & she comes to you Brand New in the Box, encased safely in Styrofoam and with her own introduction story hang tag. She has not been out of the Burgundy box except to check her edition number & photograph her. TOPP Pony # 12249. Please note: All ponies are in mint condition unless otherwise stated. Some pony's may have minor imperfection's that occurred during manufacturing. These are not considered to be damaged as this is the way they were received from TOPP. Occasionally a tag or box (shelf wear & aging) might have a slight creases, dents on the corners scratches or discoloration to it.

Authors Details: Janee Hughes is a former art teacher and award-winning painter who also writes and illustrates children's books and stories. She spent four years painting hand-carved wooden horses for Salem, Oregon's Riverfront Carousel. She has owned horses for many years and understands how they act and move, and how they show their feelings which is why more of Janee Hughes' designs have been crafted into figurines than any other artist. Horses are familiar to all of us, but many of the world’s most beautiful animals live in remote precincts on the planet and are far less familiar. The award-winning painter and book illustrator, Janee Hughes, created this spectacular tribute to some of the creatures that are at home in the vast distances of the arctic. On one side you will find the animals that spend most of their lives in the forests and mountains – the Arctic wolf, the caribou – and on the other are animals that live mostly in the sea or on sea ice – the walrus, polar bear, humpback whale. Above them all are the breathtaking, shifting, shimmering, northern lights.
